
Photography and Digital Media
Patricia Wells is a new media Artist and Photographer based in Los Angeles California and East Yorkshire UK, who earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute and continues post graduate studies in Digital Media at the University of Hull, Scarborough Campus in the United Kingdom.
Patricia has had a multifaceted creative career , working as a CG and camera operator for live video events, designing computer graphics for companies Monsanto, Anheuser Bush and interactive design for the St. Louis Zoo.
Patricia worked at Washington University in St. Louis, School of Medicine, designing scientific models and computer graphics.
She was the Director of the Carolyne Roehm Digital Arts Center at Washington University in St. Louis, School of Art, providing instruction and a learning environment for all transmediale art. She has experience in the Internet-based industry as a Information Architect / User Experience Designer.
At present, along with her post graduate work, Patricia is the owner and driving force of Patricia Wells Photography and Digital Media.
Her current work in the arts includes a limited edition series of giclee canvas prints entitled the "Urban Mandala Series". Also a series of black and white digital "bromoil style" limited edition prints of Rome and the Greek Islands which were featured in 3 issues of Paraphilia Magazine.
Patricia is working on a series of soundart animations in collaboration with Artist Brian Routh who creates the sound.
In Spring of 2010, her video/performance collaboration with Artist Brian Routh, "Adventures in the House of Memory", will be shown at Matt's Gallery, London. Currently, Patricia has been commissioned by Artist Anne Bean to assist with the digital media/ video/photography on her upcoming projects.
Patricia welcomes commissions for wedding, portrait and lifestyle photography sessions.
