Photography and Digital Media

Hi!
I'm a Independent New Media Artist who currently resides in the town of Scarborough,United Kingdom.
Born in St. Louis Missouri, I received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute,then worked a bunch of years in a variety of positions that require a hybrid of creative and techie prowess.

I've recently returned to academia and earned a MSc from the University of Hull, School of Art and New Media where I am also finishing up my MPhil degree in Digital Media. Through analysing images created and shared within the social networks of mobile photography, my current postgraduate research focuses on how the signifier of new aesthetic nostalgia (retro/vintage digital presets) influences our autobiographical memory. Prior research focused on the Uncanny Valley and the perception of realistic skin texture within digital photographic processes.

I have been commissioned to provide boutique event photography, commercial motion graphics, digital video, event blogs and websites since 2002. My video art animations and digital prints have been exhibited, broadcast and screened internationally in museums and galleries . My art is currently represented by the LACDA (Los Angeles Center for Digital Art).
